and once more...

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 7, 2008, 5:20 PM
Guess who is an ecology major? And has moved four times since last updating this journal? that would be me. At my next apartment (oh the joys of college and moving around a lot...)I will more then likely bring the microscope with me so I can take more pictures of tiny things, which seems to have been the main thing that I like to do with this account. And I'm enrolled in microbiology in the fall, so maybe I'll take pictures of tiny experiments. I don't know.

Life is going really well, I don't get to do anywhere near the amount of stuff I planned for the summer, but what else do you expect when working 40 hours a week? Custodian wages kind of suck, but I manage to have fun here.

I haven't been doing a lot with this account for a few months.
I have plans for it but of course I either never get around to taking the photographs or else the subject intended doesn't work out for whatever reason. My sense of apathy about this is growing, but I haven't abandoned this account in case anyone particularly was/is interested in my science-related photographs and other endeavors.

Also I have been busy, working nearly full time now and that tends to sap my creative energy, thoguh not as badly as I had expected. We'll also soon see how going to university affects my computer usage anyways, but I don't want to abandon either DA account. *sighs* I'm sort of confused about life in general right now, and am unsure which direction I'm supposed to go in both the near and far away future. Well hopefully these next few weeks will give me an idea about that.

Rant-tastic...

I was thinking for some reason, about how much humans tend to idealize the people they're in "love" with. It's almost hilarious how much people look past the faults belonging to the person they like, though once the relationship ends or if the person is spurned that admiration often ends.

For instance, Dante got married to one woman but he was in love with Beatrice, who he later added to his divine comedy as the angelic being who helps guide him.
If I was that man's wife I'd be quite annoyed that he portrayed his old crush in such a way. Seriously, I doubt anyone was so perfect in life as to be portrayed as the allegorical representation of spiritual love, or whatever she was supposed to be.

Funny thing is that I look through some of my old writing and I find people in my life manifesting as characters, and I realize I portrayed them too perfectly as well. That's why I don't write about perfect people anymore... they're boring and they don't really exist.

On a completely other note, I think Jekyll and Hyde is an amazing musical. I know that's it's a book and movie and play, but the musical version of it is excellent. Anthony Warlow has an amazing voice even with all the dramatic screaming. Musical theater is one of my favorite things, an indivudual muscial often has a range of nearly every emotion and the good ones have amazing lyrics. Unfortunately musical theater has produced some terrible things too... *cough*Brigadoon*cough*

ok... I dont really know where this ramble originated, but I think I'll end it now.

Opening lines...

Hmm, I don't remember going through this many steps trying to open my first account. Oh well.
And this account has an amusingly emo name that hardly befits the main theme...

I'm opening up this account mainly for my microscope/ close up photographs. I was beginning to feel like I had far too many kinds of art in this account: [link] to be organized. so time for specialty!

Anyways... since my microscope camera is always going to be low res (until I can buy something way better) it wouldn't be very useful to make my photos into stock, but if anyone would like to use them anyway, just let me know, and credit me.

Also I would love it if you visit my main site!
